World Beard Day and My Husbands Glorious Beard!
The Bearded Chronicles: A Fun Dive into Furry History
In honor of my husband Logan’s glorious beard (which, by the way, has been a permanent fixture since the day we met), I thought it’d be fun to take a little stroll down history’s beard lane. Because let’s be honest, anyone who can rock a beard as well as Logan deserves a bit of historical context, right?
A Hair-Raising Tale: The Vikings and Their Epic Beards Let’s start with one of the coolest beard facts in history: The Vikings. These fierce warriors didn’t just sail the seas and raid villages; they also had some of the most epic beards known to man. Their beards weren’t just for show—they were a symbol of their strength, power, and rugged masculinity. Plus, in those chilly Scandinavian climates, a beard was pretty much nature’s built-in face warmer. So really, beards were functional and fabulous.
Now, I’m not saying Logan’s beard makes him a Viking, but I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s got a little warrior spirit in him (especially when he’s trying to open a stubborn jar of pickles).
Why Beards Have Never Gone Out of Style Throughout history, beards have come and gone in popularity, but one thing remains clear: a great beard never really goes out of style. From ancient pharaohs to modern hipsters, the beard has been a constant companion to some of the most interesting characters in history. And lucky for me, I get to be married to one of them!
World Beard Day: A Day for the Furry-Faced
Speaking of beards, did you know that World Beard Day is an internationally celebrated event? It takes place on the first Saturday of September and is all about relaxation, enjoyment, and privilege for bearded men. Yes, you heard that right—a whole day dedicated to beards!
To gain global recognition of beards, people from around the world host different events to celebrate. Whether it’s a house party, a manly day at the gym with some bearded brethren, or just kicking back and enjoying some well-deserved beard appreciation, World Beard Day is all about doing what you want, with whoever you want—bearded or not. But of course, putting some extra emphasis on the beard is definitely encouraged!
So, here’s to Logan’s beard—may it continue to thrive and keep history alive, one whisker at a time. And to all the bearded folks out there, happy World Beard Day! May your beards be ever full and your razors ever dull! 🧔🏻♂️🎉 #WorldBeardDay #BeardHistory #MarriedToAViking
